Brick is the most popular and well -known building material. However, even constantly encountering such a material by the nature of professional activity, laying out chimneys from it for fireplaces or walls of the building, many do not know what bricks are made of.
The process of making brick has three main stages. The first is clay mining, accompanied. The second is the molding and drying of the material. And finally, the third – firing.
Before proceeding directly to the task, the preparatory operation is carried out, namely moisturizing and grinding clay while removing stones. After that, a homogeneous mass enters a special compartment- a molding where the material is carried out using the press in a special form.
Production of hollow material
This composition comes from clay mixers with the desired moisture level. The voids that should be formed are made using cores located in the output element of the forming head of this press. Hollow brick has low thermal conductivity, walls of such material are better allowed to maintain heat, and also prevent the appearance of cold air in the room.
And, in addition, this type of brick is much easier than a full -bodied.
After forming, the workpieces go to the drying department, where for some time their shrinkage is made, which allows you to get rid of excess moisture, which can break the product during the firing process.
The final operation is the delivery of workpieces to the furnace, where at high temperature the final operation to make construction bricks is performed.
