The foundation is an important part of any home or building, its basis. That is why the decoration of the facade should not be treated frivolously. The external finish will not only decorate the appearance of the house, but also protect the foundation from various destructive factors.
The finish of the foundation cannot be read “as is”. At first, the so -called blind area should be arranged properly. To do this, remove about twenty centimeters of soil around the entire perimeter of the foundation, lay sand and crushed stone on the bottom of the trench, and pour in good concrete on top. You can also lay a small layer of asphalt on top of concrete. At the same time, it is very important to tilt from the house.
Now you can start plastering the basement. Finishing materials for the foundation, as a rule, are not cheap, so you should prepare the surface as thoroughly as possible. Stone buildings and buildings that have been erected thousands of years ago are still standing to this day around the world. By the way, thanks to new technologies, artificial stone today is practically in no way inferior to natural, and in many ways it even surpasses it. Siding is used to finish not only walls, but also the foundations of houses. This material has many advantages. He is not afraid of acid rains, wind, leaching, increased humidity and water, he does not rust, does not rot and, in fact, practically does not destroy.
In addition, siding has a very large assortment. You can choose not only from dozens of various colors and shades, but also siding, imitating other finishing materials with a high degree. The same brick, stone, decorative plaster, tiles and many other materials that are customary to use when decorating the foundation.
Another popular solution is to use decorative plaster. Such plaster meets the highest requirements. In fact, after application and solidification, it turns into a kind of stone.
The decorative plaster looks amazing, and working with it is very simple. First, plaster is applied to the surface with a small layer, and then well roll it with special rollers, which give the surface a pretty decorative texture, for example, “bark beetle” or “Christmas tree”.
