How to save on heating using a digital thermostat

  • September 4, 2018

Comfort and warmth are necessary for the life of every person. The need for warmth is felt in the cold months of the year. Heating of residential premises is a significant part of the constant costs. For life you need everything for heating and water supply. Therefore, most people, given the cost of heating, try to optimize and minimize expenses. At the same time, complex construction changes are not needed. A simple solution will be the installation of programmable thermostats.

Programmable thermostats, due to their simplicity and small initial investments, quickly pay off. This is an obvious choice in financial savings on the heating of the premises.

How does this work?

Digital thermostat heats up only if necessary and thereby saving. With a decrease in the temperature of the room by at least 1 ° C, 6% of the cost of heating occurs. The wiser the approach to heating, the more savings. Exclusively from needs, a heating time, day and specific temperature is set.

At a time when the heated room is empty or during sleep, the temperature on the thermostat is lowered. Cunning heating – saving money. Thus, the digital thermostat opens and closes the valve of the premises in accordance with the requirements. This is equivalent to how, when leaving for work, I had to manually lower the temperature on the thermostat of each radiator. The digital thermostat does it on its own, while you do not have to worry about the fact that they forgot to reduce the temperature in the apartment. In addition, the room begins to heat up only before your arrival home. It is also possible to set the heating mode for both everyday life and for weekends.

The principle of temperature measurement in the room

The indications of room temperature differ depending on the type of thermostat used. Heads installed with a wireless thermostat measure the room temperature using an external thermostat. And the heads without an external wireless thermostat will show a couple of degrees more than in the room, since they are attached to the radiator.

Which system to choose for apartments and houses?

For three -room and four -room apartments, it is enough to use autonomous heads without a central block. For houses where there are more than one radiator in the room, connecting heads are suitable, which are combined into the system using wireless communication. Then the parameters of all heads are set to one control unit. Using the full potential of thermostats, it is possible to save up to 30% heat.

Smart thermostats

Digital thermostats recognize the open window and automatically close the heating valve. Another practical function blocking from children when the buttons on the thermostat are blocked.

Seven useful tips for setting temperatures in the premises

• a reduction in temperature by 1 ° C will help to save up to 6% to pay for heating;

• the warmest should be in the bathroom – from 22 to 24 ° C;

• in the living room and nursery from 20 to 22 ° C;

• in the bedroom, the recommended temperature is from 17 to 20 ° C;

• in the kitchen in the range from 18 to 20 ° C;

• in the hallway from 15 to 19 ° C;

• being outside the house, it is recommended to set a temperature of 17 ° C;
