Rubber tape EPDM is a special sealing tape, which is laid between facing slabs and vertical profiles of the ventilated hinged facade. Fiber -cement or asbestos -cement plates can be facing slabs, and thanks to the EPDM tape, the facade profile is adjusted to the slabs tightly, without errors.
The properties of the tape allow it to transfer rather strong temperature changes throughout the year, which is convenient to use it as a gasket between the stove and profile, where it protects the fasteners of the plates to the profile from cracking and scattering. The width of the tape can be thirty -six millimeters or sixty millimeters, black or white.
Products of the first width are laid in a package of 150 meters long, and an EPDM tape is 60 millimeters wide – 120 meters into a package. The sealing adhesive tape of the EPDM is supplied to the customer in rolls of various thicknesses, depending on his wishes.
The EPDM tape contains a synthetic rubber and is a microporous foamy cellular substance of a closed type, which has a special adhesive composition on the one hand. Preserving a long time for a long extensibility, while having high strength strength and good elasticity, scientists were able to identify other unique properties of the product – resistance to any atmospheric influences, acids and alkalis. This made it possible to use products to protect against acid exposure when buried toxic waste, waterproofing doors in vehicles, isolation of electrical cabinets with an IP-54 protection degree, like a ventilated facade of houses and hermetic coating that does not pass moisture. The tape does not contain chemical solvents and harmful substances, zinc and heavy metals, and this does not allow it to destroy various building surfaces and be resistant to mechanical damage.
