The use of different wood in construction

  • July 9, 2018

Wood is an indispensable material in the construction of any house. In the past, wood was often used in connection with a small assortment of other building materials. Today, this universal material is also very popular, but not because of the lack of alternative options, but because of excellent quality characteristics, environmental safety and external attractiveness of wood.

Classification

It is customary to divide the wood into two main species – deciduous and coniferous rocks. In turn, the wood of deciduous species is divided into solid -faced and soft -faced. From conifers, spruce and pine are most often used, because the wood is similar to the presence of resin moves that provide a high indicator of moisture resistance. In addition, coniferous rocks are more popular due to the fact that they have a more even and correct shape of the barrel, in comparison with deciduous. Often coniferous wood is used to create the most important parts of the building (tears, logs, boards, etc.

Popular hard -faced breeds

The most popular rocks of deciduous wood are ash, oak and birch.

Oak has been very popular since ancient times, as it is a very strong, dense and elastic wood, characterized by reliability, resistance to pollution and durability. One of the most expensive species of oak wood is a moraine oak, characterized by elasticity, strength and attractive dark color.

Ash wood is resistant to various bends, density, heaviness and high level of elasticity. In most cases, the wood of ash is used to create light elements of the structure, such as finishing, handrails on the stairs and the like.

Popular soft -faced rocks

Of the mild -faced wood, black alder and aspen are most often used.

Black alder is durable and soft, however, has poor resistance to decay. It is used to build internal walls, as well as to simulate more expensive wood species.

Aspen is a soft and light type of wood, which also has poor resistance to decay. It is most often used to create various partitions and ceilings.
