The balcony or loggia can be found in almost any house, and it can be used not only as a storage of things, but also as a separate and comfortable room. To make repairs on the balcony, a construction team is not required – it can be carried out on its own.
First you need to get rid of fragile partitions and old coatings. Then it is necessary to check the cement surfaces for the presence of voids and baking elements, then you need to clear and cement all holes and cracks. If there is a need for a balcony, you also need to boil around the perimeter, and then strengthen the frame consisting of a channel or a metal corner.
The next step will be the insulation of the floor. It is very convenient to make it using plates consisting of extruded polystyrene foam. This material is very light and dense, it perfectly withstands all the loads and can maintain heat inside for a very long time. When laying these plates on a flat surface, it is necessary to glue them using special glue and additionally fix them with plastic dowels. On top of the glue, you need to install the mounting mesh, and after the surface of the floor, it must dry out by self -leveling the mixture.
Next, it is necessary to insulate the walls using polystyrene foam plates. Subject to the correct technological installation process, a very durable surface can be obtained with a concrete slab. These walls can then be painted or finished with various decorative materials. If you plan to sheathe MDF balcony or lining, then you need to take care in advance to close up all the cracks using the installation foam.
Then it is necessary to perform the cladding of the ceiling and walls. When facing balconies, the lining is very often used as a high -quality, effective and inexpensive solution. This material, in addition to ease of installation, high strength, also has good thermal insulation due to the presence of cellular voids. For coverage of this type, special care is not required, and the service life of these coatings is more than ten years.
. To do this, first, a corner or other mounting profile is nailed to the surface, which allows you to fix the rows of panels, then the lining is inserted into the grooves, with an indent from the required place by a few centimeters. Then the panel is neatly shifted until it gets into the position you need. You can only trim the protruding edges, after which the finish of the balcony can be considered complete.
