How to fight mold in the house

  • December 26, 2024

Mold on the walls is microscopic mushrooms that affect the raw surfaces of the bathroom, kitchen and toilet. It often causes dangerous diseases such as bronchitis, pneumonia, asthma, laryngitis, eczema. In addition, mold emits toxins into the air that negatively affects the psyche, causing sharp mood swings, sleep disturbances, depression, impaired appetite. Typically, mold appears in those rooms of the dwelling in which a high level of humidity is combined with the absence of normal ventilation and sunlight.

In an apartment or country house, a person spends most of the time, including sleeping all night. Accordingly, mold in the apartment and house is very harmful, because it is able to cause dangerous, hard -to -healing diseases of the respiratory tract. Fortunately, you can fight with it, performing wet cleaning using chlorine solutions or copper sulfate. If they do not give the desired result, you can buy antifungal agents.

Contrary to widespread opinion, mold can appear not only in a house with wet walls. She can hit a dwelling even after only finishing work carried out. In this case, the reason lies in the fact that the fungi initially arrived here with finishing materials that were stored in warehouses with violations of the conditions. For example, in the absence of proper ventilation. That is why it is very important to install a good climatic system in the apartment or at least an inexpensive air conditioner.

The best option for the fight against old mold on the walls is the overhaul of the entire room with the corresponding sanitary treatment of all surfaces. At the same time, a complete replacement of finishing and facing materials is performed, and the surface of concrete slabs is treated with a special antifungal solution that prevents the appearance of mold in the future. Such chemicals are called fungicides and have great efficiency.
